ENDURANCE FUNNY GIRL & NICKI ON ENGLAND TEAM

Funny Girl & I were selected to ride for England at the Home Internationals July 2012 in Donard, County Wicklow, Ireland.
After an epic 15 hour journey from Norfolk to County Wicklow Ireland, Nicki & Funny Girl were chosen as part of the final 6 for the England Team against Ireland, Scotland and Wales in the Home International.

I am delighted to say that We Won – for the first time since 1999 the Cup came back to England !
It is a huge privilege and very humbling to have the honour to ride for your country, for your team to win, and for myself to then win the 120 kms class, coming 2nd in the 80kms ER is the most enormous achievement and I really still cannot believe it.
Funny Girl was just AWESOME as were all of the team.
The full England Team and Squad riders consisted of : Alison House, Liz Whiteley, myself, Mandy Ball, Sally Farrell, Katherine Edridge, Katie Bedwin, Katy Mellor, Sally Mellor, Julie Barker, Lorraine Brown, Caroline Johnson
We had the most amazing time and huge thank you to our amazing Chef d’Equipe Maggie Patterson, our vet Jo Woodman, and physio Lorna Skinner, not to mention the rest of the management and all the crews. New friends made for life, many memories, wonderful photos and the CUP – for England & St George !
We even carried the flag in the pre-ride Parade. What an honour ! Happy Days.
